The Ruin of the Salamanders plays out the story of the infamous Dropsite Massacre with missions, formations, detachments and extensive background lore of the events that transpired. Also containing rules on fielding troops equipped with the power Saturnine pattern terminator armour.

Before the Great Crusade, the Emperor crafted his gen-hanced Thunder Warriors, learning quickly how mentally and biologically flawed they were he started to secretly create the Legiones Astartes. These new warriors were strong in arm and iron in will, loyal only to Him. Segmented into the original 20 Space Marine factions, these heavily armed super warriors were equipped with the best wargear the Imperium had to offer.
